Case Study: Transforming Adamanta’s Business with Advanced Analytics

Adamanta, the leading climbing gym chain in Mexico, faced the most common challenge among multi-gym operations: extracting actionable insights from their data.


Like many climbing gyms, they relied on Rock Gym Pro (RGP) for customer management and point-of-sale operations. However, RGP presented significant limitations that made data recolection an impossible task.

The Challenge

When Adamanta partnered with us to implement an advanced analytics solution, we started using RGP’s API. However, we soon discovered it lacked robust functionality for multi-gym setups. Its reliance on outdated architecture made it difficult to access data across locations. Furthermore, the API’s instability—frequent bugs and limited documentation—forced us to roll back much of our initial work. These issues highlighted a broader problem: RGP, while a popular tool in the climbing industry, was not built to support the growing complexity of modern gyms. For Adamanta, this meant key performance indicators (KPIs) critical to marketing, operations, and sales were either inaccessible or required extensive manual workarounds.

The Solution

Faced with these challenges, we pivoted to a new approach. By combining some creative data extraction techniques and custom-built integrations, we were able to bypass many of the API’s limitations. This allowed us to gather richer datasets and build a more reliable pipeline for analytics. With this new system in place, Adamanta gained access to a suite of KPIs tailored to their needs. For marketing, they could now track customer acquisition costs (CAC) customer engagement and net promoter scores (NPS). Operationally, they monitored peak usage times and demographics insights. Sales data opened an array of new opportunities exploring membership trends and revenue growth opportunities. Beyond individual metrics, our solution offered a holistic view of Adamanta’s business health through dashboards that integrated data across all locations.

The Results

The impact was immediate and profound. Adamanta reported improved decision-making across departments, from better allocation of resources during peak hours to more targeted marketing campaigns that increased membership retention. With actionable insights at their fingertips, the management team could shift focus from reactive problem-solving to proactive growth strategies. They now save over 10 hours each week by automating tasks that were previously tedious and time-consuming. These reclaimed hours are redirected toward strategic planning and execution, driving business growth at an unprecedented pace.


Moreover, our collaboration with Adamanta highlighted the increasing challenges climbing gyms are encountering. As they modernize and adopt technology at a rapid pace, their reliance on data continues to grow. However, they face a significant shortage of resources and tools to harness this data effectively.

Lessons Learned

This project wasn’t without its hurdles. However, these challenges also reinforced the value of innovation in overcoming technological constraints. By rethinking how we approached data extraction and analysis, we not only delivered results for Adamanta but also laid the groundwork for scalable solutions that can benefit other gyms in the future. Adamanta’s journey serves as a testament to what’s possible when businesses embrace data-driven strategies despite technological limitations.
